What is Play Therapy?

Play therapy builds on the natural way that children learn through a trained play therapist. Play therapists can assess and understand children’s play while providing them with tools the children can use to deal with emotions and find better solutions for problems.

Play is fundamental in the health and well being of all of us. Play is an activity that elevates spirits, expands self-expression and relieves stress. For children, play allows them to develop the skills and roles they will need for survival into adulthood.

In Play Therapy we work with Projective Psychology approaches to understand the subconscious of the child .The more often used materials are -

Puppets 
Clay 
Drawings 
Puzzeles
Toys 
Sand 
Stories  
For developing the skills of PLAY THERAPY we have to UNLEARN a lot. This unlearning requires a very systematic yet flexible approach and that is what play therapy workshop allows us to develop. 


It not only offers a conflict free space but adds interesting facets to sessions that bring children back to reinforcement sessions.

In the workshop, the focus will be on projective techniques using non directive approach with different play tools.-
